Composite Longboards

Composite longboards are something that have long been an interest to me. They are lighter, stronger and stiffer than wood decks. Another benefit that they have is that they are not constrained to the same simple curvatures that normal boards are. All of the boards I have made have been using the construction detailed in the report linked above. With time and experimentation, I have been able to take the weight of a board from 2.2 kg, comparable to the same sized wooden board all the way down to 0.8 kg. I am always excited to work with this medium, and every time I make a new board I learn new things. It is the continuous pursuit of knowledge that drives me to make the highest performing boards I can!
